Ochil Tower has been very busy in the last year developing an awareness for
biodiversity. An exciting theme for the weekly school assemblies during the
Easter Term was 'The Frozen North' which gave us all an opportunity to discover
some exciting insights into the people, landscapes, flora and fauna of these
interesting lands. Our journey took us as far a field as The Northern
Territories, Greenland and Russia.
In addition to this, some classes have investigated endangered animals of the
world and of Scotland.
During the Summer Term we have focused our attention on the biodiversity of
Scotland, with many interesting interactive presentations being made. These have
included birds and mammals. Follow the links to see some examples of individual
projects by pupils as well as an example of our 'Day of Action'.
