In the early spring it was decided to take our litter-picking
efforts further afield and a site was chosen on the River Tay near Stanley
called Burnmouth. This is a local beauty spot and is frequented by many visitors
when the weather is warm and is often used for bathing. Unfortunately there are
no litter bins available so this very special area is spoilt by litter. The
co-workers and children of the school decided to do something
about it!
The Team ready for action!

On the beautiful banks of the River Tay!

After 3 separate trips we had collected a total of 140 kilos
of rubbish. This included tents, poles .....and lots of beer cans, but also
heaps of clothes - trousers, pants, socks, jumpers and towels!

What a load of old rubbish!!
